Now even though a true digital SLR camera will allow you to capture professional photos, there is no reason why you can't get impressive results from fairly cheap consumer level cameras simply by having a good eye and being able to do some simple editing yourself, so don't worry if you have a basic point and click, you will still be able to pick up some great tips from the photo editing section on this site.
